Personal

Born in Chicago, Illinois, February 21, 1931. Married on June 21, 1958, to Judith Alyce Johnson, a native of California and a 1951 graduate of UCLA. Goes by middle name: Dennis.

Mrs. O'Brien completed two years of postgraduate work in English and Education at the University of Chicago and holds a Master's in Social Work from Marywood College (Spring 1983). Three children: Elizabeth Belle (May 24, 1959), Juliana Helen (January 19, 1962), and Victoria Alyce (November 1, 1971). Elizabeth a prize winning documentary filmmaker; Juliana is currently exploring life as a vowed religious; Victoria is a professional violinist playing with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
